There’s the industry standard, and then there’s the OGIO standard. We roll, jerk, strike, tumble and drop these bags more times than most would ever consider necessary. Why? Because we never settle for just good enough. You demand everything from your luggage, so we demand even more. Shop All Luggage.
Our Tumble Test ensures the durability of our luggage through a rotating drum that simulates travel and causes tumbling. This is tested through 125 cycles with up to 55 lbs total weight inside to ensure your luggage can handle heavy impact and tumultuous travel.

Tested the right way, and then done all over again. OGIO’s luggage testing exceeds industry standard with durability tests you can count. We believe in our testing and offer 100% satisfaction and a limited lifetime warranty. Quality testing includes -
Tumble Test
Drop Test
Telescoping Handle Test
Stair Step Test
Milage Test
Strike Test
Handle Jerk Test

During our Drop Test, we repeatedly test the luggage to ensure the bag can withstand drop impact without forming any cracks or dents. The luggage is dropped from up to 90 cm height with a weight of up to 55 lbs, to ensure your luggage can withstand it all, purposefully testing the sides and luggage corners for 5 cycles.

The Telescoping Handle Test ensures the durability of the luggage’s telescoping handle and locking mechanism by repeatedly extending and retracting it. This test ensures the handle can operate smoothly and that it will last over time no matter how much you pack. This is tested for 500 cycles.

We test the durability our luggage's wheels and bearings with a Mileage Test, by rolling the bag over an abrasive belt at an angle under load, confirming the wheels run smoothly without noise, dragging, abrasion, or damage. Tested with obstacles at 3 mph for 20 miles at a 45°/90° testing angle, under weight load to ensure the best wheels for your travel.
*Also tested with 17 lbs backpack on top

The Strike Test shows the durability of our bag's structure by striking it with a weighted impactor at multiple points across the bag, ensuring there is no structural damage, deformation, or functional failure. The test is performed with 11 lbs weight dropped from 1.2 m, with 3 cycles per point, and multiple impact points on the bag.

The Stair Step Test ensures the durability of a luggage's wheels when carried up and down stairs by rolling it over a stepped surface, confirming the wheels and bearings continue to operate smoothly without damage. This is tested through 750 cycles with 55 lbs weight inside our luggage to ensure you have the smoothest travel yet.
*Also tested with 17 lbs backpack on top

During the Handle Jerk Test we examine the durability of a bag's handle and straps by repeatedly jerking and drop-loading them under weight, confirming the handle and shoulder straps continue to perform without damage. This is tested through 20,000 cycles at a 6" drop with load applied.
